MAWA Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
Operator: Amir Schechter. Postal address: Laskish 128, Shoham 6081343, Israel.
Privacy contact: amir.schechter@thekoliapp.com
This policy covers the MAWA website, waitlist and parent questionnaire at themawaapp.com. The waitlist is intended for parents and legal guardians in the United States. MAWA is being developed; this website does not provide diagnosis, treatment or individual medical advice and does not replace a speech language professional.
1. Information you provide
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and optional preference for MAWA updates and tips. If you continue with the questionnaire, we collect your full name, your child’s age category, information about stuttering and professional support, speaking goals and difficulties, approaches already tried, how you heard about MAWA and interest in early access. Free text may contain details you choose to provide. Please do not include your child’s name or unnecessary identifying information.
We keep saved drafts, completed submissions, the current waitlist category and submission history. A repeated questionnaire updates the current profile while preserving earlier completed submissions. An unfinished draft does not replace a completed submission. We record consent actions, notice versions and timestamps.
2. Website information and cookies
We record first party website events, such as visits, signup and questionnaire progress, with a visit identifier, referral hostname and campaign parameters where supplied. Some events may be associated with the registration. These records are stored in the same database as the waitlist. They are not advertising pixels, and we do not describe them as anonymous when they can be associated with a registration.
Necessary cookies and browser session storage support registration, draft recovery and security. Hosting and database providers process request information, including network addresses and technical logs, to deliver and protect the service. The application uses a keyed hash of the request source for abuse limits. We do not use Meta, TikTok or other advertising pixels on this website.
3. How we use information
We use the information to run the waitlist, save and resume drafts, understand families’ needs, develop MAWA, identify interest in early access, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions and respond to requests. We do not use questionnaire answers to diagnose a child or make individual clinical decisions.
The first completed questionnaire triggers one welcome email. Completing it again updates the profile and history without another welcome email. Separate optional consent controls future MAWA updates and tips. A welcome message does not switch that preference on. Messages include an unsubscribe link; you may also contact us to stop optional messages.
4. Your choices and speech information
Providing information is voluntary. Required fields are needed to save the requested step. Before speech and support answers are saved, the questionnaire presents a specific notice and policy link above Continue. The Continue action records that consent separately from optional marketing. The Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains the categories, uses and rights concerning speech information. It is linked below and separately from the homepage.
You can stop completing the questionnaire at any time. A saved draft may remain on our systems. You can ask us to withdraw consent or delete information by emailing amir.schechter@thekoliapp.com. Unsubscribing from updates and deleting a questionnaire are separate requests.
5. Access and service providers
Amir Schechter is the only person authorized to use MAWA’s administrative area. Our service providers process information to run the website: Cloudflare hosts and protects the site; Supabase stores waitlist, questionnaire, consent and first party event records and authenticates the administrator; Resend delivers welcome emails and provides delivery, bounce and complaint events. Welcome emails do not include questionnaire answers. If you contact us by email, email providers process that correspondence.
We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising or disclose it to advertising networks. We do not share questionnaire information with independent third parties for their own purposes. Providers may process information to deliver and secure their services. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. We do not authorize a new use of speech information through this general statement.
6. Processing locations
Amir operates MAWA from Israel. The Supabase database selected for this website is in Oregon, United States. Resend uses the United States East sending region. Cloudflare operates a global network. Provider support, security, logs and subprocessors may involve processing elsewhere; selecting a database or sending region does not mean all processing is confined to that region.
7. Retention and safeguards
Waitlist records, saved drafts and completed submissions have no automatic deletion solely because of inactivity. We retain records for operating the waitlist, product development and related security or legal needs. You may request deletion or withdrawal as described below. We may retain limited records needed to honor an unsubscribe or comply with applicable law; submission history does not override applicable deletion rights.
We use HTTPS, restricted server access, database access controls and a private administrator session. The public browser cannot directly read questionnaire tables. We maintain an encrypted application backup; this is not a promise of continuous or automatic backups. No website or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Privacy requests
Email amir.schechter@thekoliapp.com to request access, correction, deletion or consent withdrawal. Tell us the email used to register and what you want us to do; please avoid sending additional child details unless needed. We may verify email control and parental authority before disclosing or deleting information. You do not need to create an account to make a request.
We handle applicable United States privacy rights, including consumer health data rights, according to the law that applies to the request. The separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains Washington requests and appeals. We do not penalize people for exercising applicable privacy rights. Verified deletion requests include associated drafts, submissions and processor records as required; copies and backups are handled under applicable requirements.
9. Children and future services
This website is for parents and legal guardians, not children submitting their own information. It does not collect children’s audio, gameplay or child accounts. If you believe a child submitted information directly, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. A future game or new data collection requires its own notice before it begins.
10. Changes and contact
We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice or consent when required. Contact Amir Schechter at amir.schechter@thekoliapp.com or Laskish 128, Shoham 6081343, Israel.
